Known Consignor declaration update
Effective 1st of March 2021 the Hong Kong air forwarding security moved towards 100% X-ray scanning for all air cargo as per WCO requirements.
Considering these changes, customers will no longer be required to complete a Known Consignor (KC) declaration.
However, should a customer wish to have an X-ray exemption (relative to the sensitive commodities they may be shipping (Life Sciences / photo film / perishables / live animals), they will need to become a Known Consignor (KC) directly with the HK Civil Aviation Department.
